About Christian Graves, LPC-A

Christian Graves, LPC-A

Specializing in grief, trauma, ADHD and neurodivergence, OCD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, parent coaching, relationship difficulties and assessment in Rockwall

Hi, I’m Christian Graves, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate passionate about creating a therapy space that feels warm and genuinely human. I believe therapy should be a place where you can slow down, feel understood, and safely explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck or overwhelmed.

I earned my undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama and completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lenoir-Rhyne University with a focus on trauma informed care. Through both my personal, education, and clinical experience, I have developed a deep passion for helping individuals process difficult experiences, better understand themselves, and build healthier, more connected lives.

I draw from a variety of evidence based modalities, including person centered, cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), relational, and trauma informed approaches. My work is rooted in trauma informed care, with a focus on creating safety, understanding patterns, and supporting meaningful change at a pace that feels sustainable for each client. I also hold a certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which I utilize when clinically appropriate.

My style is warm and collaborative, yete direct and goal focused. I pay close attention to patterns that develop over time and how they show up in thoughts, emotions, and relationships in the present. I aim to create a space that feels both supportive and honest, where clients feel safe enough to be themselves and also gently challenged toward meaningful change. I offer sessions both in office, virtual and in the community for those looking for greater generalization of skills.

TRAUMA, GRIEF & DIFFICULT LIFE EXPERIENCES

Support for individuals navigating trauma, grief, loss, and the lasting emotional or relational impact of difficult experiences. Treatment is individualized and may focus on processing experiences, understanding patterns that developed in response to them, strengthening emotional regulation, and reducing the extent to which past experiences continue to interfere with relationships, self-perception, or daily functioning.

02

AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER ACROSS THE LIFESPAN

Comprehensive autism assessment and therapy beginning in early childhood and extending through adolescence and adulthood, including individuals whose autism may have been overlooked or masked earlier in life. I also provide sessions in the community for greater skill generalization and exposure to day to day life.

ADHD, GIFTEDNESS, LEARNING DIFFERENCES & EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING ACROSS THE LIFESPAN

Assessment and treatment of ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults, with attention to executive functioning, organization, working memory, task initiation, motivation, impulsivity, emotional regulation, time management, academic functioning, and the ways ADHD may present differently across developmental stages. A significant emphasis is placed on helping individuals and families understand both strengths and areas of vulnerability.
